‘The Jethroverse’ Season Two Synopsis Reveals New Cast Member & Character Details

The official Jethroverse website has been updated to contain information from the upcoming second season, including a synopsis that confirms quite a few details:
The season stars Jarrett Strzepek and Connor McInerney as Bill Carrington and Ryker Kane, and follows them as they embark on adventures throughout the multiverse. Meanwhile, Ezra Thorne (Rowan Wood) moves forward with his plans, involving disgraced drug dealer Carrie Voss, and it doesn't take long for his actions to catch the radar of the mysterious Claire Martin (Annalise Langelier).
Brennen Savery in The Jethroverse Season Two
It’s worth noting that the synopsis does not mention Jethro Smith (Brennen Savery) at all, suggesting that he may not be a big part of the season even though he’s been at the forefront of nearly every trailer released so far. Instead, Jarrett Strzepek and Connor McInerney will star as their Season One characters, as they embark on multiversal adventures that are no doubt similar to Jethro’s (they may even cross paths with the man himself).

Aside from confirming what we already knew, the synopsis confirms the name of Carrie Voss, who is a drug dealer with ties to Ezra Thorne (Rowan Wood), which hints that their dynamic will also be a major part of the season.

The final plot element that the synopsis confirms is that Annalise Langelier will be playing the previously-unannounced character Claire Martin, who could either be a friend or foe for Ezra Thorne.

The Jethroverse Season Two will premiere February 23, 2019.

Starlight Films Developing Modernized Adaptation of ‘The Great Gatsby’

Starlight Films is branching off into non-Jethroverse material, as their first project that will be made after the current season of the series has been revealed.

Leonardo DiCaprio in Baz Luhrmann's film adaptation of The Great Gatsby.
The project is an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic American novel The Great Gatsby, with a modern spin on it: the film takes place in a high school, and the characters and storylines featured in the source material will be changed and shifted to accommodate the new setting.

According to Rowan Wood, co-founder and head of Starlight Films, the film is not a remake of Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 adaptation of the novel, but will instead be a direct adaptation of Fitzgerald’s book, albeit with a different location and time period setting.

As of yet, no casting has been announced, but it’s expected that the film will follow the book relatively closely in terms of plot; after all, it can only stray so far before it stops being considered an adaptation.

No further production details have been revealed.
