‘The Jethroverse’ Spinoff Series ‘Multiversal’ Cancels Production—But the Project Isn’t Dead Yet

In the behind-the-scenes episode of the third episode of The Jethroverse Season One, it was announced by producers Rowan Wood, Jarrett Strzepek and Brennen Savery that a spinoff series, titled Multiversal, was in the works. Now, Wood has confirmed that production on the series has been halted, and there are no plans to resume.

The news was announced in a video released on the Screen Avenger YouTube channel, which distributes episodes of The Jethroverse on the video sharing site.

See the video below:

Wood began the video by stating that “a lot of things have been going on behind-the-scenes” of the two series, suggesting that production has either been delayed or has been advancing ahead of schedule. Wood says that he and the other producers have come to an “executive decision” to cancel production on Multiversal.

However, Wood also states that they have a decent amount of “quality footage,” which they have “already filmed,” and they don’t plan to waste it. He further confirmed that the footage will be involved in a new, “revamped” version of The Jethroverse Season Two, which all but confirms that the new season’s storyline will be changed quite a bit from what it originally was to accommodate the inclusion of the Multiversal footage. That’s not to say that the already-filmed footage for Jethroverse will not be included; Wood says that that footage will be used as well, and that the two shows are being combined and changed “for the better.”

Wood admitted that this might cause a delay in the release of the season, but promises that it will be well worth it.

Even though they’re combining the series, all of the footage originally intended for Multiversal may not be used entirely in Jethroverse Season Two, and may be used further in the already-confirmed third season of the show.

The video announcement was concluded by a special sneak peak at the first episode of The Jethroverse Season Two, which has been officially titled An Extraordinary Power. The preview showed Bill Carrington (played by Jarrett Strzepek) returning from a formal event and stopping by a bar at a movie theater, where he encounters the theater worker (Clarence Crowell), who appeared in two episodes of Season One. Bill orders a vodka, forgetting that he isn’t of an age to drink in this dimension.

The Jethroverse Season Two will premiere in 2019.
