It’s been officially announced that the third season of The Jethroverse will, in fact, be its last, and premiere in 2019.

Additionally, the announcement revealed that the season will star Xander McInerney, Annalise Langelier and Paige Joy, featuring Connor McInerney, Patrick Morahan, Max Papsadore and Cayde Barrera in “significant roles.”
It’s news that Connor McInerney will return, as he was the only main player of Season Two whose return wasn’t previously announced. Also, it’s worth noting that Xander McInerney (Vincent Kane) will be starring, indicating that he will become the series’ main character during the transition of the seasons. Annalise Langelier has only appeared in two episodes thus far as Claire Martin, but it’s most likely so that her character can be explored more in Season Three.

As for Paige Joy, her character (Raelyn Niveus) hasn’t been introduced yet, but will no doubt be a major part of the final season.
“It’s been a wild, educational and exciting ride,” said co-creator and executive producer Rowan Wood. “It’s bittersweet to bring this series to a close, but all of us working on this show are devoted to telling the best possible story it can be, and to keep you, as the viewers, entertained as best we can. Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I hope you enjoy the final season of the show I’ve spent the last four years of my life making.”
It’s likely that the series is ending so that Wood (and possibly others on the Jethroverse production team) can focus on the production of the previously-announced feature film based on The Great Gatsby that Wood is helming.
The Jethroverse Season Two airs Saturdays at 6:30pm, and the third and final season will premiere in late 2019.
