Genevieve Sull No Longer Starring in ‘The Jethroverse’

After a previous announcement that singer and actress Genevieve Sull will feature in seven episodes of the second season of The Jethroverse, producers have confirmed that Sull’s character and scenes were cut from every episode. Sull was set to play Carrie Voss, a drug dealer with a mysterious backstory and ties to several lead characters.

This came hot on the heels of a rumor that the creators and producers of The Jethroverse are working on not one, but two spinoff series, now that the main series has premiered and found success on both YouTube and public access television.

Not much is known about the (unconfirmed) spinoffs, but it is rumored that one of them will feature a character from The Jethroverse forming a team to fight a villain who will also cross over from The Jethroverse. Only time will tell, but it seems that, after a debut in the second season of the series, Sull’s character, Carrie Voss, was due to cross over into one or both of the spinoff series.

The second spinoff series will reportedly be produced and spearheaded by a newcomer to the shared universe (whose name has not yet been revealed) but will center around a brand-new character, who is sure to cross over with the other two series eventually.

After Sull’s debut was canceled, it’s possible she will play the character in a future season or series. It’s also possible the character will be recast, and will make her debut as planned. The nature of Sull’s departure from the series is unknown.

The Jethroverse continues this Saturday at 9pm on YouTube and 11pm on Cape Cod’s Channel 99.
