BREAKING NEWS: ‘The Jethroverse’ Canceled; Reboot in the Works
Recently, it was announced that The Jethroverse Season 2 was encountering production difficulties, and now it has been officially confirmed that the season has ceased filming and will not resume anytime soon.
Co-creator Rowan Wood offered no comment, but we know at least half of the season, if not more, was left uncompleted, and they will never be completed. We know that Wood had extensive plans for the future of The Jethroverse, so it’s disappointing that it was canceled so early.
However, it was also confirmed by a separate source that a new Jethroverse series is in the works; however, it is not a sequel or a spin-off of the current, uncompleted series—it is a reboot of The Jethroverse as we know it. The new series will include elements from The Four Squares of Justice and the original Jethroverse series, but will also re-invent the characters. Because of this, everything and everyone included in the original Jethroverse series will be considered non-canon, and replaced by the new canon of characters, events and locations.
As of now, the new series does not have a specified release date, but it will air weekly on the local TV channel in some towns on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where the series is produced and filmed. We have no doubt it will go on YouTube immediately afterward.
